The original from HEKA – sold over 100,000 times – as usual from HEKA “made in Germany” and therefore the highest quality and durability. You can get our HEKA drinker heaters (black) in different versions: with a cone for pigeon drinkers, flat on top (19cm), or with anti-slip strips (20cm, 27cm, 33cm). Each version is available with or without a thermostat: without a thermostat, the drinker heater heats continuously at full power and keeps the water in the drinker free from ice. When used correctly (the drinker should be fully on the drinker heater and it must be a closed drinker on top), even temperatures of -20°C are no problem. With a thermostat, you can reduce consumption at less cold temperatures: if you turn the thermostat all the way to the left, the drinker heater heats fully in extreme frost – but the less cold it is, the less it heats. If you want to slightly warm the drinking water, you can do so by turning the knob to the right. Depending on the water level, size, and “insulation” of the drinker, the drinking water can be heated to around 20°C.

HEKA-Drinker Heater with Thermostat:
We recommend the use of our drinker heaters with thermostat. These start heating only when there is danger of frozen drinking water (ca. +4°C) – the colder it gets, the more they heat up. This ensures that no water freezes and at the same time save as much energy as possible because the product is never used without necessity. Further you do not risk to give your poultry water that is too warm because you may have forgotten to switch off your drinker heater (without thermostat) when the temperature outside rises.

HEKA-Drinker Heater in general:
As long as you use a fitting drinker heater (the drinker should NOT reach over the edge of the heater) for suitable drinkers (drinkers need to have a closed top), the HEKA Drinker Heaters keep the drinker water free of ice even at temperature of about -20°C.
